Logista, the leading distribution company in Southern Europe, has been recognised for the third time as one of Europe’s leading companies in diversity having been included in Diversity Leaders 2023, an international benchmark index produced by the Financial Times and Statista. This ranking assesses diversity and inclusion in the workforces of private and listed European companies, and it includes 35 Spanish companies. Logista, which has more than 7,000 employees representing 50 nationalities, scored 7.60, ranking 232nd out of 850 companies. Moreover, it is the fourth-placed Spanish company in this ranking and the third-placed European company in the Wholesaler category.

To compile this ranking, the Financial Times and Statista’s researchers interviewed more than 100,000 employees in 16 European countries. They were asked to rate their companies and others in their sector in terms of inclusion and their efforts to promote diversity issues, such as age, gender, freedom of sexual orientation, ethnicity and disability.

For Marco Pondrelli, Corporate Talent Director: “Safety, talent development and diversity and inclusion are the cornerstones of Logista’s people strategy. The fruits of these efforts are apparent in our having received various awards, the Financial Times award, one of the international benchmark indices of which we are proud to again be a part. We will remain firmly committed to diversity in the company and equal opportunities, because we believe they are key to attracting and enhancing our commitment to our employees.

Logista is firmly committed to its social strategy. In this respect, the company uses the Bloomberg Gender-Equality index as a reference to improve its diversity and inclusion ratios, and 42% of members of the Board of Directors are now women (versus 28% of the Bloomberg index). Similarly, 49% of all new hires in 2021 were women (vs. 44% of the index).
