Pharmacists’ Day is celebrated on 25 September with the theme of “Pharmacy strengthening health systems”. On this important occasion, Logista, the leading distribution company in Europe, reaffirms its commitment to the sector through Logista Pharma, as the leading distributor for pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, as well as the largest pharmaceutical distributor to hospitals in Spain.
Logista Pharma currently serves more than 25,000 pharmacies in Spain and Portugal and has expanded its presence in the pharmaceutical market to Italy with its acquisition of Gramma Farmaceutici, which allows company to offer its distribution services under a model covering all services in the value chain.
Besides distribution services, Logista Pharma offers the widest range of bespoke services, including clinical trials, a sample library, vaccine distribution, home deliveries from hospital, patient services or the distribution of veterinary products.
Other services that offer added value for the sector are stock and supply management, invoicing and collection, reverse logistics with the management of returns and destruction, partial manufacturing and handling: labelling, packaging and management of promotional material, for both the laboratory’s commercial teams and for pharmacies.
To cope with the growing demand for storage and distribution of new thermolabile, frozen and deep-frozen pharmaceutical products (2°C and 8°C, -20°C, -70°C, -196°C), Logista Pharma has expanded its storage space. With these new investments, it strengthens its ability to manage these products; notably, it involves the storage of refrigerated pharmaceutical products (between 2ºC and 8ºC) through one of the largest pharmaceutical cold rooms in Europe located at its Leganés facilities.
As part of the company’s commitment to offering distribution of medicines that provides the maximum safety and quality guarantees, Logista Pharma goes beyond compliance with pharmaceutical regulations with strict traceability and has implemented the possibility of individual and univocal traceability of each container of the pharmaceutical products it distributes.
