Madrid, October the 3rd, 2023.- Logista Libros, the largest independent book distributor in Spain, has just announced the acquisition of SGEL Libros, a national book distribution and publishing company. SGEL Libros is notable for the distribution of general publications and educational books nationwide. Moreover, the company has a publishing line specialising in the education sector.

It currently distributes to more than 8,000 points of sale through various marketing channels including bookshops, kiosks and hypermarkets, as well as online distribution, handling more than 300,000 orders a year. The company has a 14, 000m 2 warehouse in Guadalajara, where it has more than 100,000 titles in stock and the latest technology that allows it to prepare and deliver all orders to any point of sale within 24 or 48 hours. In fiscal year 2022, SGEL Books recorded sales of 50 million euros.

With this strategic acquisition, Logista Libros strengthens its leadership as the largest independent book distributor in Spain with the addition of extensive lists of titles, while also adding to its catalogue the distribution of educational books.
