- The company has transformed uniforms donated by its Network into recycled fabric.
In line with its social and environmental commitment, NACEX, Logista’s express parcel and document delivery company, has launched a new circular economy project.
The project, which started at the end of 2023, has involved giving a second life to unused uniforms donated by employees and the entire NACEX franchise network, transforming them into recycled fabric through an organisation and its social workshops staffed by people at risk of social exclusion.
“This initiative is another of the social and sustainable measures we promote at NACEX to minimise the environmental impact of our activity and support the most vulnerable groups,” explained Arianne Muñoz, Marketing Director at NACEX. “Once again, the collaboration of our entire network has been crucial to the project’s success.”
At the 27th NACEX Franchise Convention, held on May the 23rd and 24th in Tarragona, the company provided its network with bags made from the resulting recycled fabric as a token of appreciation for their commitment to the environment.
NACEX aims to make a positive contribution to both the environment and society, extending this commitment to its network. Therefore, it promotes and participates in numerous Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) actions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and Goal 13 (Climate Action), among others.
Another example in this regard is the campaign “Donate a plastic top, a great gesture of charity” carried out for the benefit of ASDENT. This collaboration, aimed at combating the rare Dent disease, promotes the recycling of plastic bottle tops and is already 5 years old, having collected and delivered nearly 140 tons of tops, with 4,537 kg collected in the first quarter of 2024.
