Nacex, Grupo Logista’s parcel and express courier firm, has signed an agreement with Get Your Dreams Foundation to fulfill one of the many dreams included in the “La Fábrica de los Sueños” project (Dreams Factory project).
Specifically, NACEX is participating in the project "El despertar de la ilusión en la tercera edad" (“The awakening of optimism in old age”) to support elderly people living in three residences in Barcelona: Parc del Guinardó, Pau Casals and Josep Miracle, collaborating with accompaniments, trips and activities.
It is a group of people with solitude. Many of them don’t have neither family nor friends. With the help of Get Your Dreams Foundation volunteers, a program of accompaniment and motivation is carried out for each of them, besides many activities, excursions and trips.
Foundation representatives explain that: “We try for them to perceive this stage of life with optimism. Our goal is to provide them with moments of joy, hope and optimism and motivate them to adopt a positive attitude towards life. The essence of our Project is to emotionally accompany each person in the life path.”
This foundation is born in a moment in which our society undergoes a deep values and economic crisis. In a moment like this, the foundation see as essential to take care and motivate the person’s emotional dimension. At that aim, nothing is better than to promote the fulfillment of dreams of the most needed to inject the hope needed to keep going.
