Nacex, the Logista Group’s parcel and express courier firm, collaborated in the recent pharmaceuticals collection campaign by Banco Farmacéutico (Pharmaceutical Bank) in 14 pharmacies.
This year, Banco Farmacéutico collected over 25,000 pharmaceuticals in just one day, destined to needed people supported by a number of charity organizations, including Cáritas, with which NACEX has been collaborating for years collecting and delivering food products.
Pharmaceuticals for Cáritas will be destined to the projects: CEL Bon Pastor (an open centre for kids and teenagers between 6 and 16 years old), Folre (a day centre for homeless people), Ramón Albó (homes for homeless people), Sant Camil living together units (a residential project for the homeless elderly), Marialar (an urgent and midterm shelter for women with children suffering from genre violence and social exclusion), Almeda (single homes for the elderly with professional support) and BAOBAB (a social and labour insertion and training project).
Since last 2015, NACEX has AENOR’s first GDP (Good Distribution Practices) conformity certification for human use pharmaceuticals according to the European Commission’s November 5th, 2013 guidelines (2013/C 343/01). This certification ensures that the company’s quality system takes into account the key aspects for the pharmaceutical industry (training, document system, validations, risk assessment, security, traceability…), securing a distribution service according to the sector’s demands.
