NACEX, the Logista Group’s parcel and express courier firm, joins the ASDENT Foundation solidarity collection of caps. This charity initiative is aimed at raising funds to support the research of the DENT disease, a minority, genetic disease caused by a gene mutation in the chromosome X.
In order to carry out this collaboration, NACEX has created specific bins to collect caps and is offering its franchises the possibility of locating them at their centres to collaborate with the foundation. By adhering to the campaign, NACEX’s franchises become collection points and make possible to collect caps nationwide.
Asdent – Dent disease Association, was created after diagnosing Nacho, an 8 year old kid who began showing complications during pregnancy, his birth and growth. A wide variety of problems linked to this disease make Nacho the first Dent disease patient with many pathologies, and so doctors advised his parents to begin raising funds to support research.
Keeping a cap, a great solidarity gesture
Last April 26, the founder and president of the ASDENT Foundation and Nacho’s mother, Eva Giménez, went to NACEX’s headquarters at Hospitalet de Llobregat, where she met with NACEX’s deputy general manager, Manel Orihuela, and its Marketing responsible, Arianne Muñoz. Both parts proved very satisfied with the agreement reached. Eva proved herself excited with NACEX’s collaboration, “the involvement of NACEX’s over 300 franchises, adding to the 600 plastic caps collection points we already have, is a great help in getting the fundraising we need to fund two research projects. One project is at the VHIR (Institut de Recerca de Vall d’Hebron) and the other is at the Tenerife Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria Hospital. In total, we need to raise €1.5m in three years. For every ton of caps we raise €130.” Meanwhile, Manel Orihuela underlined that “We always try to involve our collaborators in solidarity initiatives. We now will try to raise their awareness on a how such a simple gesture like keeping a cap may become a great solidarity gesture towards ASDENT.”
We all may collaborate with the solidarity collection of caps
Any person may collaborate with the ASDENT Foundation through the NACEX network. It is as simple as locating a NACEX franchise through the web www.nacex.es and coming up to deposit the caps in the bins located there.
The collaboration with ASDENT is another solidarity action NACEX and its franchises add to, as they recently did with the solidarity books collection with Recicla Cultura for the Servicio Solidario Foundation.
