NACEX, the Logista Group’s parcel and express courier firm, has obtained the certification verifying the calculation of the Carbon Footprint of its deliveries. With this certification, NACEX positions itself as the first parcel and express courier firm providing clients with the environmental impact of their deliveries.
The prestigious certification company BUREAU VERITAS has carried out the verification audit according to the UNE ISO 14064 standard, on the calculation of the greenhouse gases (GEI), and on the methodology set by the UNE EN 16258 standard, for the calculation and declaration of energy consumption and greenhouse emissions in transport services.
NACEX has implemented in its computer systems the calculation of the energy consumption and CO2 emissions for each delivery, taking into account for each stage of transportation the distance covered, the delivery’s weight, the vehicle’s total cargo and the fuel type. The information on the Carbon Footprint is available to clients per delivery, or grouped in a range of dates, in a customized report including the monthly evolution of energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
This achievement reinforces NACEX’s commitment to environmentally improving its processes while providing clients with added value, as a better environmental performance by the company directly affects reducing greenhouse emissions of its clients.
