As part of its commitment to culture, NACEX supports this charity initiative at a time when it is needed more than ever, reinterpreting its own “Meninas”, which may already be seen on the streets of Madrid.

Madrid is the setting for the third edition of “Meninas Madrid Gallery”, from the 15th of October to the 15th of December, a unique exhibition in which “Las Meninas de Velázquez” (Meninas means Maids of Honour in English) have been reinterpreted and garb the capital in the world’s biggest open-air exhibition.

NACEX, Logista’s express parcel and documentation delivery company, attended the presentation event that took place at the Madrid City Council’s “La Caja de Música”, presided by the Deputy Mayoress of Madrid, Begoña Villacís, accompanied by the Delegate for the Area of Economy, Innovation and Employment, Miguel Ángel Redondo, the Director General for Trade and the Hospitality Industry, Concha Diaz de Villegas, as well as representatives from Acotex, and different associations and businesses that, like NACEX, have become involved in this urban art exhibition.

There will be around 50 fibre-glass sculptures, 180 centimetres in height , 160 in depth and weighing 30 kilos, created by the artist Antonio Azzato, which have served as a basis for design by a group of artists such as Marta Sánchez, Asier Etxeandía, Agatha Ruíz de la Prada, Oteyza and Modesto Lomba, among other figures.

As part of its commitment to culture, NACEX supports this charity initiative at a time when it is needed more than ever, reinterpreting its own “Meninas”, which can already be seen on the streets of Madrid.

This urban exhibition is one of the activities promoted by the Madrid City council and the Textile and Accessories Trade Association “Asociación Empresarial del Comercio Textil y Complementos” (ACOTEX), as part of the Madrid Fashion Capital project, an institutional project aimed at improving the city’s image and shopping tourism, among other things.

The Food Bank will be the main organization benefiting from the funds raised from auctioning the “Meninas” when the exhibition ends. “Meninas Madrid Gallery” has managed to raise more than 500,000 Euros for charitable causes in its previous editions in Madrid and Andalusia.
