  • The company becomes the only European distributor to receive this prestigious international recognition for six years for its fight against climate change
  • Logista once again achieves the highest A rating, only achieved by a select group of companies out of the more than 12,000 companies assessed worldwide by the non-profit organization CDP

Logista, the leading distribution company in Southern Europe, has been recognized for its leadership as a global sustainability company by CDP, an international non-profit organization, by being included in its prestigious A List for its fight against climate change. Logista is the only European distributor to achieve this recognition for the sixth consecutive year.

Based on data reported through CDP's 2021 climate change questionnaire, the company has been recognized for its actions to reduce emissions, mitigate climate risks and develop the low-carbon economy. Thanks to these climate actions and initiatives, Logista has achieved international leadership in terms of its environmental strategy, being the only European retailer to remain on CDP's A list for such a long time.

The A List is a selective and exclusive list for which CDP evaluated more than 12,000 companies worldwide this year. CDP's annual rating process is widely recognized as the standard for environmental transparency in business.

In 2021, more than 590 investors with over $110 trillion in assets and 200 large buyers with $5.5 trillion in acquisition spend have requested companies through the CDP platform to disclose data on the environmental impacts, risks and opportunities arising from their business. More than 13,000 responded, the highest number to date.

CDP uses a detailed and independent methodology to assess companies, assigning a score from A to D, based on completeness of disclosure, knowledge and management of environmental risks and demonstration of best practices associated with environmental leadership, such as setting ambitious and meaningful environmental targets. Those organizations that have not provided sufficient information are assessed with an F.

Logista, in its commitment to minimizing the impact of its activity, has a Quality, Environment and Energy Efficiency Policy, and develops specific actions in terms of environmental sustainability - such as route optimization, the use of sustainable vehicles and energy and the reuse of packaging - as well as metrics that periodically evaluate the achievement of objectives, including the commitment to reduce emissions generated by its activity by 30% by 2030 with respect to 2013, an objective that has been scientifically validated with the approval of the "Science Based Target".

In addition, Logista's firm commitment to sustainability has been recognized in October 2021 by Sustainalytics, one of the world's leading evaluators of Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance, which, after evaluating the Company's ESG criteria, has awarded it an ESG risk rating of 14.1 points and considers it to be at Low Risk of experiencing material financial impacts due to ESG factors.

Logista is also part of the FTSE4Good index of companies that demonstrate sound environmental, social, and corporate governance practices.
