Logista, the leading company in proximity distribution in Southern Europe, has been selected as one of the companies with the highest commitment to its suppliers in terms of sustainability and climate change according to the CDP organisation, and has been included in the CDP Supplier Engagement Leaderboard 2021.

This recognition is based on the Supplier Engagement Rating (SER), i.e., the company's performance with its supplier network to address climate change and reduce environmental impact. Companies recognised by CDP will be part of the report "Engaging the chain: driving speed and scale", which highlights the environmental need for companies to apply measurement and action throughout the supply chain to avoid an environmental crisis.

The CDP, an international non-profit organisation that provides the largest and most comprehensive open global environmental disclosure system, aims to guide companies and governments in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, protecting water resources and forests. It also collects and evaluates data related to environmental impacts, risks and opportunities for an independent assessment of the methodology through which scores are calculated. The CDP Supplier Engagement Leaderboard 2021, comprised by more than 400 leading international companies across all sectors, ranks Logista in the top 8% of global companies for supplier engagement on climate change.

Íñigo Meirás, CEO of Logista, expressed his gratitude for this recognition: "Belonging to the most environmentally committed companies to our suppliers is an important achievement and a true reflection of our commitment to sustainability. For Logista, preserving the environment and contributing to social development will continue to be a priority in the short, medium, and long term.

Logista has been included for six years in CDP's "A List", which recognises global leaders in the fight against climate change. Logista is the only European distributor to be included in this list for six consecutive years.  In addition, Logista's commitment to sustainability was recognised in October 2021 by Sustainalytics, one of the leaders in the evaluation of Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance worldwide, which, after evaluating the Company's ESG criteria, awarded it an ESG risk rating of 14.1 points, meaning that it is at Low Risk of experiencing material financial impacts due to ESG factors and accredited it as Industry TOP RATED 2022 (among the 50 best ratings in the Transport industry). This distribution company is also part of the FTSE4Good index, made up of companies that demonstrate sound environmental, social and corporate governance practices, and of the Ibex Gender Equality Index.

CDP stated: "Our data shows that companies are currently slow to respond when it comes to considering their indirect environmental impacts and engaging with suppliers to reduce their impact. Companies must act urgently to take environmental action throughout their supply chains to limit temperature rise by 1.5°C by the end of the century. Congratulations to the more than 400 companies that have earned a place on CDP's 2021 Supplier Engagement Leaderboard. As a Supplier Engagement Leader, Logista will continue being a pioneer in driving the transition to a sustainable zero net emissions future.
