Barcelona, April 23th, 2022.- NACEX, Logista's express parcel and documentation delivery company, collaborated with the Spanish Logistics Centre (CEL) on the traditional Gala Dinner, which was held on April the 21st, coinciding with the European Supply Chain Day.

The event, which was held at the “Rooftop Casa Suecia” (Madrid) this year, brought together a hundred top-level executives from the logistics and freight transport sector for two main objectives: sharing time together in a relaxed environment that would foster networking, and raising funds for Ukraine. On behalf of NACEX, the Director General, Manel Orihuela, the Director of Marketing, Arianne Muñoz, Pablo Román, Director of Operations, Jorge Araujo, Director of Hubs and Pablo Rebollo, President of Dronas, attended.

The charity event was led by the CEL and was opened by its president, Ana Isabel González, who took advantage of the occasion to recall that “after two years conditioned by the health situation, we once again have the opportunity to experience one of the most enriching aspects of our activity: networking. We do it on a particularly relevant date for our sector too, coinciding with The European Supply Chain Day.”

Quoting Steve Jobs, González spoke about the role of the leader: “Innovation is what distinguishes the leader from the followers.” By the same token, she continued by emphasising that “We have faced unprecedented critical situations, and logistics professionals also deserve to be in the hero category. We have experienced 6 waves of a pandemic that have put us to the test personally and professionally. And supply chains will no longer be the same. What we have learned helps us rethink strategies to take care of our clients and teams, and as managers we have surpassed ourselves by leading through innovation.”

After these warm words, she gave way to Sergio de la Calle Asensio, honorary speaker. De la Calle has twenty years of experience in the business world and is currently Director of Programs & Faculty at Telefónica University. International lecturer and TEDx Speaker, he is a Sociologist, MBA, and postgraduate in Human Resources and author of “Lead with a sense of humour; “The most effective teams have fun working;” “Have fun working” and “The secret ingredient of the best companies” (2021).

As a culmination, Ramón García, General Director of CEL, sent a message of thanks to NACEX, and other collaborators, Usyncro and FIELDEAS, and to the attendees, for their role in this charitable cause that affects the logistics sector so closely: “I am enormously grateful to all the attendees who today have decided to contribute their invaluable grain of sand to a cause as important as the one at hand”.
