  • The company has donated basic necessities to be distributed by the Food Bank Foundation to vulnerable people

Logista, the leading distribution company in Southern Europe, has donated 542 kilos of non-perishable staple foods to the Madrid Food Bank Foundation after organising ‘Operation Kilo’, a planned collection run jointly with the charity. Thus, the company is helping the Foundation to continue to serve more than 182,000 people who have serious difficulties accessing food.

This amount was collected at the company’s various premises in Spain, by the employees of its Logista, Logista Pharma, Logista Parcel, Nacex by Logista, Logista Libros, Logista Freight and Logista Retail business units. Juan José Guajardo-Fajardo, Logista’s HR, Marketing and Communication Manager, said: “We are aware of our role in society, firstly because of our own business, which drives various key sectors, but also because of our ability to add value also to other groups that are in more disadvantaged situations.

Social commitment

The company works with various foundations and associations, mainly at the local level, by supporting various humanitarian, welfare and integration actions aimed at improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable groups.

In this regard, another pillar of its social strategy is to promote the integration of socially-vulnerable groups, which it does by working with foundations and associations. Thanks to this commitment, a total of 172 people with disabilities were part of Logista’s team in 2022, 23% more than the previous financial year.
