NACEX, Logista’s express parcel and document delivery company, is proud to celebrate the 5th anniversary of its collaboration with ASDENT in the collection of plastic caps to support research into Dent's disease. This alliance has been instrumental in driving advances in understanding and research into this rare disease.
Since the beginning of this partnership in 2018, NACEX has been committed to making the collection of plastic caps possible throughout Spain. With the active participation of its franchisees, customers, and employees, the company has demonstrated a strong commitment to medical research in the fight against this disease, which affects some 400 people worldwide.
During these 5 years of collaboration, NACEX has transported more than 100,000 kg of plastic caps to its platform in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. These caps are subsequently purchased by a recycling company, generating funds that go to support research into Dent's disease at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) and the Hospital Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria in Tenerife.
The charity initiative, "Donate a plastic top, a great gesture of charity", has been a success thanks to the collaboration of the more than 280 NACEX franchises throughout Spain, which have become collection points for plastic tops. This has enabled the company's customers and the general public to contribute to research into Dent's disease actively and meaningfully.

This outstanding collaboration was recognised with the award for "Best CSR project in the express courier sector" and "Best responsible project in the support of medical research in the express courier sector" at the VII Social Business Awards.
In addition, as part of its commitment to sustainability, NACEX is carrying out a recycling campaign for its plastic envelopes, known as "bags". Since 2014, it has been installing dedicated bins at its franchise offices, hubs, and some customers, in order to promote bag recycling. In total, 34,500 kg of bags have been reclaimed since the start of the project.
In addition, NACEX continues to improve the design of its packaging to reduce its environmental impact. Thanks to the improvements applied to the bags, it saved 60 tonnes of plastic in 2022 and, as of this year, they are made from 100% recycled material, just like its boxes, where the use of ink has also been reduced to make them more sustainable. It has also eliminated plastic from the seals, achieving a saving of around 5 tonnes of plastic per year.
NACEX's alliance with ASDENT is an example of its commitment to society and the most vulnerable groups. As part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, NACEX also collaborates with various organisations including the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases (FEDER), the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), among others.
