Logista Pharma and Neovii Sign a Strategic Agreement for the Distribution of Grafalon® in Spain, a Specialised Treatment for Transplant Patients
- Logista Pharma will manage the entire Grafalon® supply chain, from procurement and storage to hospital distribution and invoicing.
- This high-value therapeutic product requires strict storage conditions between 2 and 8°C, as well as the highest standards of traceability, safety and quality.
- The operation is supported by Nacex Pharma's specialised transport network, ensuring cold chain integrity and rapid response to urgent demand.
Logista Pharma, Logista's company specialised in pharmaceutical distribution and integrated healthcare services, has entered into a collaboration agreement with Neovii, a biopharmaceutical company specialising in immunosuppressive therapies for organ transplantation, haematology and oncology, for the distribution in Spain of Grafalon®, a specialised treatment used, in combination with other immunosuppressive therapies, for the prevention and treatment of acute rejection following solid organ transplantation and for the prevention of graft-versus-host disease following allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
Grafalon® is a specialised hospital treatment used in transplant patients. With more than four decades of clinical use and an international presence, it represents a well-established treatment option for medical teams involved in the care of transplant recipients.
Under the terms of the agreement, Logista Pharma will take full responsibility for managing the medicine's supply chain in Spain through a comprehensive 360° service model that includes product procurement, specialised storage, order preparation, hospital distribution and invoicing to healthcare centres.
The operation will be carried out under a specifically designed model intended to guarantee maximum availability of the treatment in hospitals. Given the critical nature of the treatment, the service requires a high level of responsiveness, including urgent deliveries, maximum operational reliability and complete traceability at every stage of the logistics chain.
In addition, Grafalon® has particularly demanding storage requirements and must be maintained within a controlled temperature range of 2°C to 8°C throughout the entire logistics process. To support this, Logista Pharma provides Neovii with its specialised pharmaceutical facilities and certified storage, handling and distribution processes, specifically designed for products with high economic and therapeutic value.
Deliveries will be carried out through Nacex, Logista's express courier network, using passive cold chain solutions specifically designed to ensure the medicine's thermal stability throughout transportation. The service also incorporates advanced monitoring and traceability systems that provide full control of each shipment, from warehouse to destination hospital.
"The distribution of Grafalon® is a clear example of the highly specialised operations in which Logista Pharma delivers distinctive value. This is a critical medicine for patients, with demanding requirements in terms of control, traceability and responsiveness. This agreement further strengthens our position as a strategic partner of choice for pharmaceutical companies marketing highly complex therapies," said Ignacio Sánchez Caballero, General Manager of Logista Pharma Iberia.
Meanwhile, Frederic Prince, Chief Executive Officer of Neovii, stated: "This agreement reflects our commitment to ensuring that patients in Spain have reliable and uninterrupted access to Grafalon®. Working with a specialised partner such as Logista Pharma enables us to safeguard the quality, traceability and continuity of supply upon which transplant centres and their patients depend."
This agreement strengthens Logista Pharma's presence in the hospital sector and reinforces its capability to manage highly complex biological and immunological medicines, helping to ensure that critical treatments reach patients with the highest guarantees of quality, safety and availability.
