- The company opens this new premise to support the growth in its activity
NACEX, the Logista Group’s parcel and express courier firm, has opened a new platform at Barberà del Vallès. The already operating premises replace the one the firm already had in the city, aiming to support the growth in its activity during recent years.
The new platform is on a 15,000m² plot with over 7,000m² built. It has a 4,000m² area for crossdocking and the automated management of most of the merchandise in the peninsula’s Northeast area, one of the most important areas for the firm’s activity. It also has a 2,100m² warehouse for 4,000 pallets, a <25ºC controlled temperature chamber, as well as 1,200m² for office space and common areas.
The new premises have docks for 40 vans and 20 trucks, as well as 11 ramps for simultaneously unloading 11 vehicles.
A platform at the industry’s forefront
With this new platform, NACEX will provide an increasingly fast and effective service, by optimizing merchandise classifying and dispatching. The platform is equipped with a Crossbelt FlexSort SC3 classifier, combining envelope and packages classifying on the same machinery, with an 8,000 hourly packages performance, so doubling the previous classifying capacity and providing more dynamic operations.
It also incorporates cutting edge readers, with practically 100% effectiveness to increase classifying efficiency. Its triple traceability system: physical, through artificial vision bar code reading; by weight, checking and verifying weights and sizes through the merchandise classifying system’s dynamic balances; and visual, by recording the package’s classifying process with the closed circuit surveillance cameras, facilitate control of all activities and full dispatches’ traceability throughout the operating process. In addition, it also has the possibility to obtain thermal traceability for every package transported through the Nacex Pharma service. The platform is equipped with an interior and exterior closed circuit tv, as well as in-person surveillance 24 hours all year round.
This new premise, located in the northern area of the Barcelona province industrial belt, enjoys a strategic location to provide service to agencies in the city’s and Barcelona province northern areas. It also provides great support to the Platform at Hospitalet de Llobregat.
